An Danns Elegua (Nighean Rua' Bhàn)

Another meeting of the two folkloric cultures. The track features another puirt a beul, Nighean Rua' Bh√†n, which sings of the "auburn haired daughter of Red Donald the Piper and her dreams of going to the ball if only she could find a fiddler and a dram". This is answered by the coro "Oh Elegua, Obatala" in praise of the Orishas or Gods from the Afrircan/Caribbean Yorùbá and Santería faiths. Elegua is associated with the opening of ways or crossroads and Obatala the creator of bodies and the essence of clarity. Uilleann pipe solo by Jarlath Henderson.
